The Story Behind Beaux:

Beaux Cosmetics is an innovative forward thinking cosmetics line committed to ingredient transparency and dedicated to providing safe and nontoxic high-definition beauty products.

Beaux Cosmetics was born out of the desire to provide not only effective, high—performance beauty products but also unquestionably safe, nontoxic and affordable products. The line stands out for its innovative makeup products formulated without parabens, sulfate detergents, talc, phthalates, GMOs, or synthetic fragrances.

The brand was created by attorney and former makeup artist Shauneen Militello and is based in Los Angeles, California. The company was inspired by Shauneen's father, an administrative member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA), who discovered that nearly all of her high-end makeup and drugstore beauty products contained a common mixture of toxic ingredients prohibited and restricted from use in cosmetics in other countries, including hundreds of chemicals and contaminants known or suspected to cause cancer, genetic mutation, reproductive harm or birth defects. Concerned about poorly regulated products laden with questionable chemical ingredients, Shauneen was drawn into generating a solution. After finding that the “natural” product alternatives were lacking in quality and couldn’t achieve the same results as their chemical-laden counterparts, Shauneen began the journey of creating a line of safe, nontoxic, high-performance beauty products. Thousands of productions and formulations later, Beaux Cosmetics was born.
